Support

We often say we want support or that we support others; but what does it mean to support and what does that really look like? There are so many definitions for the word support. As I look at all the different meanings, they have similar words: to hold up; bear all or part of the weight; and give assistance. Knowing the true definition of support, can we honestly say that we truly support others? If I may be honest, we may provide support but with limits and feelings. If we look at those key words, the only person that will hold us up, bear all of the weight, not just part of it, and assist us all at the same time is Jesus. So the next time we say we support someone, let’s remember that support is a verb, which is an action word, so let’s start putting some action behind this word that we use daily. Love, Eboni P.
