Insecurities

Insecure is defined as (of a person) not confident, uncertain and anxious. We all have insecurities because of our flesh and the desire to be accepted. One thing I have learned is that some people think insecurities are inherited features received at birth. They think their parents give it to them but they don’t. Insecurities are planted in us. Media tells us we need to be one-way while society tells us to be another way, and then our friends tell us something different. So we start analyzing ourselves from top to bottom trying to redesign who we are based on these thoughts, forgetting that they are just that, thoughts. We let these thoughts consume us so much that we lose who we really are. We let our thoughts turn us into who everyone else thinks we should be, and then we begin to feel like we do not belong. I am here to say that we need to get these thoughts out of our minds because if God wanted us to be anything different from the way he created us; he would have created us that way. Start standing with confidence and boldness! We cannot let other peoples insecurities become our own. Self-love is the best love. Tap into you. Love Eboni P.
