Unpacking

Unpacking is something none of us likes to do. Whether it’s unpacking from a trip or moving, we always end up having more stuff than we started with. Did you know that unpacking is not just a physical thing? There’s mental and spiritual unpacking that needs to be done as well. We have to get out of our own way so that we can grow. We tend to unpack and repack so much mental and spiritual baggage. We have no room for growth because we keep repacking the stuff that God told us to let go of and give to him. Let’s take me for instance, if I kept repacking the issues of my father not wanting me; going over all the labels the world placed on me, which I in turn placed on myself, I wouldn't be able to do what I'm doing now. I kept repacking but yet crying out for growth and understanding. We have to remember that everything has a season. Our pain, even if we don’t want to admit it, is a part of our growth. We can either let it make us bitter or better. So the choice to unpack and repack is up to us. It’s like asking yourself if you want to live or die. The more you keep repacking the issues that God has told you to release, you are slowly killing yourself, and for what? To hold on to something that is not helping you but hindering you. Let go of the abuse, being misunderstood, being cheated on, lied to, abandoned, being born different, not loving yourself, and feeling unloved. Whatever it is that you’re repacking, unpack it and lay it at his feet so that you can walk into your season of healing and purpose. “My help will come from the Lord. The creator of heaven and earth he will not let you fall.” Psalms 121:2-3 ERV love Ebonip
