Know your worth ft Aziel Write

Do we really understand the meaning of “know you worth"? Or is it just something we say to offer comfort when someone is going through a bad situation or when we are feeling bad about ourselves? Let’s be clear on this, we are priceless blessings to this life. The problem is, we don’t really know our worth because we base it off all the wrong things. We base it off how much a person buys or doesn’t buy for us, how much they do for us, how much attention they pay to us, or how many followers we have. So if you think about it, we have been programmed to base our worth on what others think of us and do for us. Let’s think about what I just said- we base our worth on others. The Bible says we are “created in His image” and that “we are fearfully and wonderfully made”. In other words, we are priceless y’all. Before I go any further into this blog, I want y’all to know the reason you are priceless is that Jesus paid the price for you the day he died on the cross. No material things, likes, follows, comments, DMs, nothing can replace that. So walk in the boldness of your pricelessness. I know I’m saying this with so much authority right now but it hasn’t always been this way. I too went through a time when I felt worthless instead of priceless. I used to give my body away just because I knew that’s what the men liked about me and yes, I was okay with that at the time because my confidence was so messed up; I was so insecure. Not about the way I looked because I always thought I was beautiful, but I was insecure in me having a disability and being wanted by men who thought my body was banging for someone that was disabled. This was a confidence builder to me, so I thought. Even with my female friends, some of them would say, “you cool to have a disability”. Hence, now y’all see why my disability was an issue; because people continued to bring it up like it was all they saw, so that became all I saw. Then one day I was in the bathroom washing my face and the lord said to me “Yes you are disabled. But remove the “dis” and remember that I am “able”, which makes you able. Remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made and I need you to walk in it”. From that day forth, I have been walking in a newfound confidence. It took a lot for me to get to where I am now. I just want to encourage you all to know that you’re priceless and to remember whose you are and who you are. You were created for a purpose. Not for others to recreate you. You already have the ultimate design, your own. So stand strong and love who you are now and who you are going to grow into. In the words of the movie the help, you are smart, kind, beautiful, handsome, most importantly you are fearfully and wonderfully made so stand with your head held high no matter what. Love Eboni P

The most important person in the (yo)universe is YOU, so the first person to recognize your worth, should be you. Your standards and morals are examples of how the world is suppose to treat and interact with you. People can only go as far as you let them, seeing how you are in control, you have the ability to start and stop anything. All things revolve around you and your decisions, hence the word YOUniverse. Uni meaning of one or uniting to become one, and verse means to speak (in or compose). Once you are united in thought you can speak that thought into existence in your universe. It takes courage to exercise your worth, it takes confidence and belief in oneself to exercise your worth, remember that you are the example for how things are suppose to be done within your universe by the things you allow to occur. For example if you are selling an item for a listed price, would you accept a lower offer or would you stand firm in nothing that the item will be sold at the listed price. In this scenario you are the item of value, so why would you lower your value because of someone showing some interest or attention. If anything being more exclusive or hard to get would drive the value up. Things that are scarce have higher value because it is not easily accessible. And we have to view ourselves in the light that we are important and worth something to this world. The creator doesn’t create things just to do so, each creation is created for a purpose, a reason and has value to this world. One key component of knowing yourself worth is the way that you view and see yourself. Do you speak positively about yourself or do you criticize and belittle yourself. Remember how you treat yourself is an example to how others will treat you. Do we really understand the meaning of “know you worth"?
